The chilli peppers used in our sauces and relishes, are all home grown by us in our garden in Eltham, South East London.

We do not use any chemicals or pesticides, and only use organically approved fertilisers.  Our pest control consists of good hygiene, a sharp eye, and an ever-ready finger and thumb!

Our products contain no artificial additives, colourings or preservatives. The wonderful range of colours is achieved by using the natural fruit and spices, during preparation. We source many of our ingredients from Farmers' Markets, and buy organic and FairTrade produce wherever possible.

Our jars and bottles are washed, sterilised and then heated for 10 minutes at 180C, prior to being filled.  This ensures a good seal when the lids are fitted, and a high standard of hygiene.

Other ingredients, apart from Hot Chilli Peppers, include onion, ginger, vinegar, honey, black pepper, brown sugar, pomegranate and good, old-fashioned water, plus spices such as turmeric, cumin, cinnamon and coriander.

Since we started growing chilli’s back in 2005, we have grown 42 different varieties from all over the world, including Barbados, Central Africa, Peru, Russia, Mexico and the Caribbean; not bad for a suburban back garden !

Relishes
The fruity relishes are great with cold meats and cheese; some, such as Mango Mumbai and Peppers 'n' Pears, are a very good accompaniment with a curry.  They are also good in a sandwich or with salads & BBQ’s.
Sauces
The sauces are either pepper based, fruit based or tomato based, and can be used for cooking or dipping.  Tomato Inferno is a great base for a Chilli Con Carne, whereas the hot pepper sauces, such as Golden Glow and Green Goddess, are excellent for spicing up casseroles and soups.

Our Chillies
We currently grow around 40 varieties from seeds purchased around the world, Barbados, India, Central Africa, Peru, Mexico and the Caribbean, to name a few, with many different types of pepper, including Habanero, Chiltepin and Birds Eye.  As such, there is a wide range of heat levels, from our mildest, Apple & Pear Embers, to Devil’s Heatwave, which is not for the faint-hearted!

Jams, Marmalades & Mustards ! New !
We now have a range of delicious Jams, Marmalades and Mustards to add to our range of products ! as ever they are all hand made using only natural ingredients. Check them out using the links above or in the main menu list.

They're how hot ?
Our personal preference is for our sauces and relishes to be tasty and not too hot.  However, some people have requested that we make them hotter. Therefore we have added a range of Sauces and Relishes to appeal to those of you who like it hot.  However, if you are not sure, please feel free to ask to taste if you see us at one of the many markets we attend. For more information on which markets we attend and when please go to the News page.
